Assistant Human Resource Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Human Resource Director to join our team and elevate our HR initiatives. In this vital role, you will support the development and execution of comprehensive human resources strategies that foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Your leadership will influence talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational design, and HR program management, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals. Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and implementing HR strategies that support organizational growth and employee engagement
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts by managing sourcing channels, conducting interviews, and overseeing onboarding processes
  • Support employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration for new hires
  • Oversee performance management processes, including employee evaluations and development plans
  • Manage employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions with professionalism and transparency
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, OSHA regulations, and labor standards across all HR functions
  • Coordinate benefits administration, payroll processing, and HRIS data management using systems like Workday, ADP, Paychex, or SAP SuccessFactors
  • Facilitate training & development initiatives to enhance skills across teams and support succession planning efforts
  • Assist in managing workers' compensation claims and implementing safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards
  • Support HR program management including process improvements, change management initiatives, and organizational design projects

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising HR teams or managing human resources functions within a complex organization
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor regulations (including FMLA), OSHA standards, and benefits administration practices
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition strategies, HR sourcing techniques, and employee onboarding processes
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, Taleo or similar systems; data analysis skills are essential
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation skills and the ability to influence senior leadership effectively
  • Experience with performance management systems and employee evaluation processes
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and project management principles
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., SHRM-SCP or PHR)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $111,626.45 - $162,695.54 per year
