What’s the job?

The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for supporting the operational IT initiatives across the

different business verticals in The Group Vintage including hospitality.

This role ensures smooth IT operations, system reliability, data security, and compliance while

delivering high-quality support to associates and guests. The role requires balancing corporate

IT governance with hotel operational needs, ensuring technology enhances both business

productivity and guest experience.

Your day-to-day

IT Operations & Service Delivery

▪ Ensure 24/7 availability of IT systems critical to hotel and office operations.

▪ Supervise the IT helpdesk and technical team for timely resolution of incidents and

requests.

▪ Implement best practices in incident, change, and problem management.

▪ Maintain updated IT documentation (SOPs, IT Sec, escalation charts, system diagrams).

▪ Manage IT ticketing system and generate performance reports for management.

▪ Maintain accurate and updated Master Inventory Record for both hotel and group office.

Systems & Applications Management

▪ Oversee hotel-specific applications including:

▪ PMS (Opera, SAAS and cloud platform solutions)

▪ POS systems (Micros, Symphony, etc.)

▪ Door Lock Systems, CCTV, IPTV, and PABX.

▪ Ensure smooth integration between hotel and corporate applications (ERP, HR, Finance).

▪ Coordinate upgrades, patch management, and licensing compliance.

Network & Infrastructure

▪ Manage WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi (guest and staff), firewalls, switches, and VPN access.

▪ Support server infrastructure – Windows servers, AD, Exchange/365, virtualization (HyperV).

▪ Monitor IT infrastructure performance and implement proactive maintenance.

▪ Ensure high-speed, secure internet connectivity for group office team, hotel admin staff

and guests.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

▪ Enforce IT security protocols, firewall rules, antivirus/endpoint policies.

▪ Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and tests.

▪ Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, local privacy laws).

▪ Implement access control, backup & disaster recovery strategies.

▪ Manage cybersecurity awareness training and systems application training for staff.

▪ Conducting regular PCI audits and Maintain Records.

Project Management

▪ Assist Group Head of IT in planning and execution of IT projects across both sites (cloud

migration, system/network upgrades, Wi-Fi rollouts, CCTV modernization).

▪ Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and service providers.

▪ Track project progress, budgets, and report updates to management.

▪ Support group-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Leadership & Staff Development

▪ Supervise and mentor IT officers at both corporate and hotel sites.

▪ Act as deputy to the Group head of IT during absence.

▪ Coordinate cross-functional IT support between departments (Sales, HR, F&B, Finance,

Front Office).

▪ Foster continuous learning by supporting IT staff training and certifications.

Guest & Staff Experience (Hotel-Specific)

▪ Ensure reliable guest internet/Wi-Fi with premium quality standards.

▪ Support guest-related IT issues (conference connectivity, IPTV, VoIP).

▪ Ensure hotel staff systems (check-in/check-out, POS, booking engines) operate without

disruption.

▪ Work closely with Front Office, Reservations, and F&B for smooth IT support.
