Assistant Lead Bowling Mechanic - Full Time

ASSISTANT LEAD BOWLING MANAGER

Location: Bell Lanes and Lakeview Lanes, Sun City

Status: Full Time

Days/Hours: Tuesday-Saturday (May Vary); 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm (May Vary)

Job Summary: Assists the Lead Mechanic in the mechanical operations of the Recreation Centers of Sun City (RCSC) Lakeview and Bell Lanes Bowling Centers. Assists in the directing of the pinchasers. Provides input regarding preventative maintenance programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on pinsetters, automatic scoring and related equipment.
  • Helps plan, coordinate, supervise, conduct, and evaluate a wide variety of maintenance programs including special events as they are related to the technical operation.
  • Provides assistance with general supervision over the maintenance of the pinsetters and related equipment.
  • Advise and/or assist the pinchasers and Lead Bowling Mechanic in problem solving and major repairs
  • Provides assistance with technical staff in performance of assigned duties and check on proper completion of work
  • Helps with the supervision of the mechanical operations of both Lakeview and Bell Lanes.
  • Inspects maintenance performed on pinsetters, automatic scoring and related equipment.
  • Helps implement and administer preventative maintenance programs.
  • Helps maintain various logbooks in workplace.
  • Provides completed reports as required by the Lead Bowling Mechanic.
  • Performs annual equipment inspections.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and prioritize safety throughout the workday.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the repair and maintenance of Brunswick Pinsetter equipment and related bowling equipment.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred; OR any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state of Arizona driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in the repair and maintenance of bowling facility equipment.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions to the work area and work performed.
  • Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to perform repair and maintenance of the bowling facilities.
  • Basic operating principles of electricity.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to physically climb under, over, around, and off moving equipment in a safe manner.
