Assistant Manager -Accounts
Job Description:
Accounts Receivable Management
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and maintain the receivables aging report.
- Ensure timely follow-up for collections through phone, email, and coordination with sales teams.
- Review and approve customer credit limits in line with company policy.
- Reconcile customer accounts periodically and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly receivable MIS reports and share with management.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls for revenue recognition.
Landed Cost & Purchase Accounting
- Record all import and local purchase transactions with accurate costing.
- Calculate landed cost including duties, freight, clearing charges, insurance, and other ancillary costs.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and clearing agents to verify import documentation.
- Ensure proper allocation of charges to inventory and cost centers.
- Validate vendor invoices, GRNs, and clearing documents before posting.
- Maintain a tracker for all import consignments and related expenses.
General Accounting & Reporting
- Assist in month-end closing activities including accruals and adjustments.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documents.
- Maintain compliance with company financial policies and SOPs.
- Improve processes related to receivables, costing, and documentation control.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience , preferably from Textile Setup
- Hands-on working knowledge of SAP will be an additional plus.
Qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com / ACCA / ICMA (Part-qualified).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and costing software
