Position Overview
The Assistant Manager – Finance will support the hospital's financial operations through accurate accounting, budgeting assistance, compliance monitoring, and financial analysis. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of healthcare finance processes, and the ability to support financial decision-making through data-driven insights. The AM–Finance will work closely with senior finance leadership to ensure smooth financial functioning and adherence to statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance analyses.
- Monitor departmental expenditures and report deviations to finance leadership.
- Support analysis of financial performance metrics (revenue, expenses, profitability).
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Assist in drafting P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GST, TDS, and healthcare finance norms.
- Coordinate with auditors by preparing schedules, documentation, and follow-up reports.
3. Accounting & Transaction Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Verify and process vendor invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Support reconciliation of cash, inventory, and fixed assets.
4. Revenue Cycle & Cost Control
- Monitor billing, insurance claims, collections, and payment follow-ups.
- Identify inefficiencies and support cost-reduction initiatives.
- Track departmental cost centers and highlight opportunities for optimization.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with clinical and administrative departments to support budgeting, costing, and financial queries.
- Provide timely financial data for decision-making in procurement, HR, and operations.
6. Systems & Process Management
- Ensure accurate data entry and reporting through ERP/financial systems.
- Support implementation and enhancement of finance-related software and digital tools.
- Maintain strong data confidentiality and adhere to cybersecurity protocols.
7. Team Support & Development
- Guide junior finance staff in accounting practices and compliance requirements.
- Assist finance leadership in conducting internal trainings on finance policies and SOPs.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (B.Com, BBA, or equivalent).
- MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA Inter preferred.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare finance environment is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP/financial software and advanced MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
- High ethical standards and accuracy in financial documentation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
