Job Title: Assistant Manager Forming Line Food Processing

Reports To: Production Head / Operations Director

Job Summary

The Food Forming Line Processing Executive will lead the development, optimization, and commercialization of shaped and formed frozen food products from concept to large-scale production. This role requires deep expertise in forming line machinery, recipe formulation, process engineering, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trials, scaling recipes for industrial runs, and ensuring the seamless launch of new products into the market while meeting quality, cost, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Trials

Formulate and optimize recipes tailored to forming line production requirements, ensuring texture, flavor, and appearance meet specifications.

Conduct lab-scale and pilot plant trials, adjusting formulations and process parameters for maximum efficiency and product consistency.

Translate product concepts into scalable manufacturing processes suitable for continuous production lines.

Process Optimization & Scale-Up

Configure and fine-tune forming line equipment to achieve desired shapes, sizes, and weights with minimal waste.

Source, evaluate, and coordinate procurement of specialized forming tools and parts required for new product shapes, working closely with vendors and suppliers.

Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure machinery is properly calibrated and maintained for consistent performance.

Develop process control parameters and SOPs to ensure repeatability across production batches.

Mass Production & Commercialization

Oversee the transition from trial phase to full-scale production, ensuring timelines, cost targets, and quality standards are met.

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials that meet product specifications.

Partner with marketing and sales teams to align production capabilities with market launch plans.

Quality & Compliance

Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.

Coordinate with QA/QC teams for product testing, shelf-life studies, and sensory evaluations.

Ensure all processes align with HACCP, GMP, and other relevant industry certifications.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Research new forming line technologies, ingredients, and methods to improve efficiency and product innovation.

Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, reduce downtime, and optimize production costs.

Mentor and train production staff on best practices for forming line operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Based on experience and skills in food forming and processing lines.

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in food manufacturing, with at least 2 years in forming line production management.

Proven track record in scaling new food products from concept to market launch.

Technical Expertise

In-depth knowledge of forming line equipment and their operational parameters.

Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, food chemistry, and processing impact on texture and flavor.

Experience with freezing technology, coating/breading systems, and oil/frying processes.

Proactive, hands-on approach to sourcing and developing specialized cutting instruments and forming tools.

Interacting with market suppliers, machinery specialists, and fabrication workshops to identify, negotiate, and secure high-quality tooling solutions.

Personally visiting suppliers and workshops to review, test, and approve custom cutting instruments.

Negotiating lead times, costs, and technical specifications to ensure alignment with production requirements.

Maintaining strong follow-up until delivery and installation are completed to specification.

Building and sustaining reliable vendor relationships to support ongoing innovation and equipment availability

Benefits.

Salary Bracket: 50,000 to 60,000
