Assistant Manager Network

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Manager Network to join our growing ISP company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our services.

This is a key technical role that requires hands-on experience with ISP-level networking technologies, routing protocols, firewalls, and network monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy scalable network solutions (LAN, WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
  • Lead network optimization and performance tuning projects.
  • Manage peering relationships and backbone connections with upstream providers.
  • Implement and maintain network security policies, VPNs, and firewall rules.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, including outages, latency, and routing loops.
  • Coordinate with the NOC and Support teams for seamless issue resolution.
  • Participate in capacity planning, documentation, and network expansion projects.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, redundancy, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Mentor and guide junior network engineers and technical staff.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in networking, preferably in an ISP or telecom environment.
  • Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, or similar network hardware.
  • Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, NAT, QoS, and other Layer 2/3 technologies.
  • Experience with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, pfSense), IPSec, GRE tunnels, and network security protocols.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, or The Dude.
  • Experience in working with fiber optic networks, transmission links, and last-mile connectivity is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, MTCINE, or equivalent are strongly preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong command of IP addressing, subnetting, and routing.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based systems and scripting is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents efficiently.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, MTCINE) highly preferred.

Working Hours:

Full-time (Monday to Saturday) – On-call availability may be required for emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
