Job Summary:

We are looking for an organized and proactive Import Assistant to join our logistics team. This role is vital for ensuring the seamless flow of our materials and finished products from international suppliers to our local facilities. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in import/export operations and a strong understanding of international documentation and local supply chain processes. Experience with the Odoo ERP system is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all documentation related to import consignments, including invoices, shipping documents, bills of lading, and customs declarations within Odoo.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local customs regulations and international trade laws.
  • Track and monitor the status of all shipments, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders using the Odoo inventory and supply chain modules.
  • Handle and resolve any logistical issues, delays, or discrepancies that may arise during the import process.
  • Assist in managing the local supply chain, including coordinating with local transport and warehouse teams.
  • Maintain accurate and meticulous records of all import activities for reporting and auditing purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations or logistics.
  • Proven experience using the Odoo ERP system for supply chain, inventory, and logistics management.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
