We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Manager – Imports / Foreign Procurement for trading division at our Head office in Islamabad, to manage international sourcing, supplier coordination, shipment handling, and end-to-end import process management including custom clearance.. The ideal candidate must have strong negotiation skills, hands-on experience with global suppliers (China, Europe, Middle East), and a solid understanding of import regulations, Import payment processes like LC/CAD/DAP/Open Account/Advance payments, HS Codes, and customs clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with international suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
  • Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Manage complete import cycle: Purchase Orders, PI review, payment terms, shipment follow-up, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for production updates, inspections, test reports, certifications, and shipping schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy of commercial documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, FTA forms, HS codes, etc.).
  • Liaise with banks for LC opening/amendments and advance payments.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and clearing agents for shipment tracking, customs clearance, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of import tariffs, SROs, FTA rules, and customs procedures.
  • Develop supplier databases, evaluate vendor performance, and maintain procurement records.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders to end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in imports, foreign procurement, or international supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of LC, Incoterms 2020, international logistics, customs procedures, and HS Codes.
  • Experience working with Chinese, European, and Middle Eastern suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and tight timelines.

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
