Our Team

As one of the GCC’s leading and award-winning Infrastructure & Real Estate (IRE) advisory teams, our IRE practitioners are deeply active in privatisation programs, from program initiation and planning, through project definition, procurement, and financing. We are also involved in lead financial advisory services on government procurement and bidder side advisory on PPP and project finance transactions.


We support the improvement of the performance of government agencies involved in public service delivery. We do this through the provision of financial and commercial advice, from commercial strategy through contracting, contract restructuring and termination.


Our teams work with the owners of many of the region’s major infrastructure assets and government property estates, providing advisory services on asset portfolio strategies, value realization and commercialisation. We support client use asset recycling as an alternative funding strategy, and the identification and execution of investment options for private sector investors.


About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Project & Infrastructure Finance Advisory service within the IRE team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing financial advisory services to private developers, assisting them in raising debt financing for large scale PPP and project finance transactions. During your tenure as an Assistant Manager in Infrastructure & Real Estate, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

  • Coordinate and liaise with the clients (including weekly calls) and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure smooth transaction delivery and project management.
  • Analyze the commercial and contractual implications under various contract structures, specifically for project financing.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive feasibility studies whilst managing technical and legal advisors.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining complex Project Finance models in compliance with the RfP framework as well as running sensitivity analysis and tariff optimization.
  • Assist in the development of procurement documents (EOI, RfQ and RfP);
  • Review and analyze RfPs issued by procurers to identify financial requirements, risks, and opportunities and prepare financial clarifications to be raised to procurers during the bidding process.
  • Assist in negotiation of term sheets and financing agreements, ensuring alignment with client objectives and risk parameters.
  • Assist in commercial and financial negotiations related to project contracts and finance documents, collaborating closely with clients as well as legal and technical teams.
  • Assist and coordinate the due diligence process with lenders, including collection and review of technical, legal, and financial documentation and responses to queries raised by lenders.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction execution including bid submissions and financial closings.
  • Prepare comprehensive project related documents (Debt Information Memorandum, Market Soundings, etc.) to be presented internally (client approval process) or externally (lenders and/or equity financiers).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering or any related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial advisory, investment banking, infrastructure developer or project finance lending.
  • Professional qualifications such as CP3P, CFA, will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven quantitative analytical capabilities and financial modelling experience is required.
  • Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy particularly with financial modeling (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills with the ability to solve unstructured problem.
  • Intellectually curious with a strong desire to develop professionally in the PPP and Project & Infrastructure Finance business.
