Assistant Manager - Logistics

The Assistant Manager – Logistics will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating end-to-end logistics operations, including warehouse management, transportation planning, last-mile delivery, and vendor coordination. The role requires strong experience in managing warehouses, transportation companies, and delivery service providers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and accurate distribution of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management

Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations including inbound, storage, order picking, and outbound processes.

Ensure adherence to inventory management practices, stock accuracy, and timely reporting.

Implement warehouse safety protocols and compliance with company standards.

Transportation & Delivery Management

Plan and monitor transportation schedules for efficient delivery of goods.

Coordinate with transporters, courier partners, and delivery service providers for timely dispatch.

Optimize routes and load planning to reduce costs and improve service levels.

Track and monitor shipments, ensuring SLA adherence and customer satisfaction.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

Develop and maintain relationships with transport companies, courier agencies, and third-party logistics providers.

Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with logistics partners.

Liaise with internal teams (sales, procurement, customer service) to align logistics operations with business needs.

Cost & Performance Management

Control logistics costs through effective vendor management and process optimization.

Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit damage, warehouse productivity, and turnaround time.

Prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.

Process Improvement & Compliance

Identify gaps in logistics operations and recommend process improvements.

Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and company regulations related to warehousing and transportation.

Drive technology adoption (WMS, TMS, GPS tracking, etc.) for better control and visibility.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
