Assistant Manager Maintenance

The following shall be the duties and responsibilities:

• Organizing routine mechanical servicing schedules
• Allocating work to a team of mechanical engineers and organizing teams to make sure 24-hour cover is available
• Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate
• Fitting new parts and commissioning
• Carrying out quality inspections
• Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
• Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
• Keeping production managers informed of progress
• Making scheduled checks on machinery and parts
• Finding and fixing faults and recalibrating instruments
• Oiling and cleaning machinery and parts
• Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule
• Responding immediately to mechanical breakdowns of equipment is rectified with minimum time
• Coordinating with production, Quality Control department in the erection of machineries.
• Liaison with external agencies for servicing of machineries and equipment.
• Impart training on new equipment and their maintenance practices to the subordinates.
• Authority for Sanctioning of leave.
• Guiding subordinates on matters related to mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance and ETP etc.,
• Coordinating with quality, social, technical, safety audits of customer, government and other regulatory agencies
• Planning and carrying out preventive maintenance of all equipment’s

DESIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• ITI/ Diploma/Degree/Master degree in mechanical/mechatronic engineering with experience of minimum 5-8 years.
• Mechanical/electrical Troubleshooting, Staffing, Technical Leadership, Technical Understanding, Developing Budgets, Equipment Maintenance, Safety Management, Attention to Detail, Conceptual Skills, Supply Management, Facilities Management Systems.
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• Good organizational skills and ability to handle manpower
• Team player who can adapt to dynamic work environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 22000:2018, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, GMP, KOSHER, HALAL standards
