Assistant Manager Media Marcom

Location: This role is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. (Hybrid)


About the role:

As an Assistant Manager - Media Planning & Budgets, you will support the development and execution of insight-led media strategies while ensuring effective campaign delivery across traditional media including TV, Radio, and Print. The role involves managing the media agency end-to-end, from planning and buying to performance tracking and post-campaign evaluation - ensuring all KPIs and business objectives are met.


You will also oversee media budgeting and financial operations, including forecasting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and compliance with PR/PO/GRN processes. Working closely with Strategy, Brand, Finance, Procurement, and Legal teams, you will ensure operational excellence, financial discipline, and seamless execution of national marcom initiatives.


Your Impactful Goals will include:

  • Assist the media team in developing & implementing media strategies based on consumer insights and media trends.
  • Drive operational excellence with media partners by managing performance against clearly defined KPIs and service standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and build strategic media opportunities to enhance brand visibility and business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy, Brand, Digital, and OOH teams to design and execute cohesive IMC plans.
  • Ensure effective idea amplification across multiple touchpoints including Digital, OOH, and on-ground activations.
  • Manage media agency across the full spectrum of media planning, buying, execution, performance tracking, and financial reconciliation.
  • Manage end to end timely execution of the campaigns and post-analysis of campaigns ensuring all media KPIs are met.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign performance tracking and evaluation, analyzing business impact and BHT KPIs to drive learning and optimization.
  • Media Budget and Financial management including forecasting, reconciliation, and budget closure.
  • Management of overall national marcom budget, analysis & operations.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly budgeting cycles, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination with business planning team.
  • Oversee monthly financial closing, varication analysis w.r.t actualization.
  • Manage the PR, Purchase Order (PO), and Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processes for marketing activities.
  • Act as a key liaison with internal stakeholders including Procurement, Finance, Commercial Finance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance .


  • How will your Typical Day look like:
  • Coordinating with Strategy, brand team, digital media team, creative and media agency to execute campaigns.
  • Media planning and buying of ATL campaigns.
  • Managing the media agency for smooth media operations.
  • Planning, allocation, management, and analysis of Marketing budget.
  • Working closely with commercial finance, procurement, and finance team to manage smooth financial operations.
  • Budget governance and controls for spending on specified activities.
  • Monthly budget planning, budget allocation to different units within marketing and monthly closing of spend.
  • GRNs & accruals management within the marketing department.
  • Working closely with multiple internal stakeholders to understand brand and communication needs and align media execution based on need assessment.
  • Managing multiple tasks and heavy workload under crunched timelines

What we're looking for :

Education: Bachelor's degree or an MBA

Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in media planning, buying & media research along with budget management.
