The Assistant Manager Production Engineering will support the Production Engineering Manager in developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production operations. The role requires a technically strong professional with experience in production engineering within the automotive, manufacturing, or engineering sector.

The individual will be responsible for process planning, line balancing, cycle time optimization, and layout improvements to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards. They will develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, process flow charts, and BOMs.

The role involves analyzing production issues, identifying process inefficiencies, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The Assistant Manager will work closely with Assembly, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production Planning teams to support new model introductions, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

They will ensure manufacturability through coordination with design and tooling teams, supporting tooling development, jig and fixture validation, and process trials for mass production readiness. Ensuring compliance with HSE standards and supporting lean manufacturing and cost optimization initiatives will be key responsibilities.

This position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with the ability to work under pressure and contribute effectively to the organization’s operational and manufacturing goals.
