Assistant Manager PS Configuration Management

Job Purpose:

To ensure high availability, performance, and continuous improvement of PS Core, VAS, and cloud-based network platforms through efficient operations, proactive maintenance, vendor coordination, and end-to-end implementation of new network elements

Job Responsibilities:

1. Network Availability & Operations Ensure 99.999% availability of PS Core / VAS / Cloud nodes through proactive monitoring and routines. Define and maintain node-wise operational and preventive maintenance checklists.

2. Fault Management & KPI Performance Monitor KPIs and ensure performance remains above agreed thresholds. Conduct RCA and implement corrective/preventive actions with teams and vendors.

3. New Node Integration & Commissioning Plan and execute integration of new PS Core / VAS / Cloud nodes. Ensure HAT/PAT/ATP completion with validated commissioning checklists.

4. PS Core / VAS / Cloud Implementation Manage end-to-end implementation projects from planning to operational handover. Coordinate with IT, Transmission, IP Core, and Cloud teams for seamless delivery.

5. Preventive Maintenance & SOP Governance Ensure execution of daily, weekly, and monthly health checks. Define SOPs for routines, deployments, and operational consistency.

6. Spare Parts & Inventory Management Manage critical spares and define minimum stock thresholds. Coordinate with NPS and supply chain for timely replenishment and utilization tracking.

7. Vendor & Inter-Departmental Coordination Act as focal point for PS Core / VAS operations across internal stakeholders. Manage vendors during faults, upgrades, patches, and emergencies.

8. Project Management & Process Optimization Allocate tasks, manage resources, and support team skill development. Drive automation and process optimization to improve MTTR and efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

Must have a Bachelors Degree, Preferably in Engineering Domain

Work Experience:

Upto 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Operations & Implementation

Skills – Job Specific:

Strong understanding of PS Core (SGW/PGW/UPF/AMF/SMF), VAS platforms, and cloud environments KPI monitoring, troubleshooting, and RCA
