Network Engineer

Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Safe City network infrastructure, ensuring continuous availability, performance, and security across data centers, command & control centers, surveillance systems, and remote sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks for Safe City deployments.
• Monitor network devices, perform health checks, preventive maintenance, and capacity monitoring.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for CCTV, ANPR, VMS, servers, and mission-critical applications.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, security policies, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, IP schemes, SOPs, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with field teams, NOC, vendors, and OEMs for incident resolution and network upgrades.
• Support network expansions, device integrations, and emergency on-call incidents.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, LACP), IP addressing, and network segmentation.
• Proficiency in managing firewalls, IPsec VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and network security best practices.
• Experience with data center networking, high-availability setups, and surveillance system connectivity.
• Skilled in network monitoring, fault diagnosis, log analysis, and performance reporting.
• Ability to perform incident management, RCA, and SLA compliance in O&M environments.

Educational & Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
• Professional certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, HCIA, HCIP.
