Assistant Manager - Purchase

The desired incumbent should be B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) or Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering.

A course in Material Management/ Logistics/ Shipping course would be an added advantage .

He should have Minimum 4-6 yrs of experience in Purchase/ Procurement in a Shipping Company.

The desired incumbent will be responsible for the below mentioned :

• To Handle MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) purchase of commodities like machinery spares, maintenance consumables, other stores.
• To procurement local & imported spare parts.
• Coordinate with local parties for paints, LO & CHA for clearance of spares.
• To arrange delivery of spares/stores on vessel arrival, to avoid downtime of vessel & obtain vessel acknowledgement
• To Manage procurements & inventory & rationalizing cost
• To Identify & develop a reliable vendor base for cost effective sourcing
• To work on purchase control- starting from receipt of requisitions, issuance of PO, supply source determination & optimized purchase at an international level.
• Follow-up with suppliers for timely delivery of spares/stores to vessel, supervision of delivery schedules, logistics & delivery costs.
• Updation of Material list, handling of claims & other complaints
• Attend daily meetings with technical & operations department & correspondence with superintendents.
• To Check the Monthly Advance Payment report.
• To Check of Lube Oil & Paint Quarterly report & monitoring requirements.
• Give various feedbacks about lay-up & dry-dock expenses, capital expenditure etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
