Qualification:
Experience:
- At least three years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Implement procurement policies and strategies set by the Head of Procurement.
- Manage purchasing clerical functions, including correspondence, vendor lists, bid preparation, and record maintenance.
- Prepare accurate bid tabulations.
- Consider environmental and sustainability issues in purchasing decisions.
- Apply customer care principles when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor market conditions to ensure value for money.
- Coordinate with customers and promote good purchasing practices.
- Respond to inter-departmental service requests and provide suitable options.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, service, reliability, capacity, and other criteria.
- Compare quotations considering total lifecycle costs.
- Conduct price and service reviews and address non-performance issues.
- Document contractual issues for potential legal actions.
- Review specifications to set realistic criteria.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve purchasing-related issues.
- Arrange product testing and evaluate results against customer needs.
- Attend exhibitions to gather product information.
- Use comparative data to assess contract competitiveness.
- Resolve quality issues with internal and external customers (e.g., rejected materials).
- Perform any other duties assigned by HOD or higher management.
