Assistant Manager - Strategic Operations

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and results-driven Assistant Manager – Strategic Operations to support automation initiatives, strengthen process governance, and lead the Business Development team.

This is a non-technical, leadership-focused role requiring strong coordination, project tracking, and managerial capabilities. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency through automation, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure structured execution of business processes while managing lead generation operations through Sendy.

You will report directly to the Head of Strategic Operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Initiatives & Coordination (35%)

  • Identify and evaluate automation opportunities across departments based on business impact
  • Coordinate with IT, Development, Finance, HR, Billing, and Operations teams for implementation
  • Oversee and manage email marketing automation (Sendy) campaigns
  • Translate business requirements into functional automation solutions with technical teams

2. Cross-Functional Coordination & Process Governance (25%)

  • Lead coordination of process improvement and automation initiatives across departments
  • Facilitate requirement gathering, stakeholder meetings, and solution rollouts
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process maps, and governance frameworks
  • Drive continuous process improvement across:
  • Finance & Billing (invoicing, reconciliation, reporting)
  • HR (onboarding, payroll, recruitment)
  • Operations (workflow optimization)

3. Project Tracking & Performance Monitoring (15%)

  • Track end-to-end automation initiatives (timelines, risks, deliverables)
  • Maintain dashboards and present progress reports to leadership
  • Measure efficiency gains, cost savings, and overall business impact

4. Business Development Team Leadership (25%)

  • Lead, mentor, and manage Business Development Executives
  • Drive lead generation campaigns via Sendy
  • Set KPIs: campaign volume, lead quality, conversions
  • Guide A/B testing, email deliverability, compliance, and targeting
  • Conduct performance reviews and build a data-driven team culture

Requirements

Experience

  • 4–7 years in Operations, Process Improvement, Project Coordination, or Business Development
  • 2–3 years of team management experience (lead generation / marketing ops preferred)
  • Experience in cross-functional project coordination
  • Exposure to email marketing tools (Sendy preferred)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related field
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Certifications like PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) are advantageous
