We’re Hiring: Assistant Manager – Taxation

Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Experience: 4–5 years (with a reputable firm)

Qualification: ICMA, CA (Qualified/Finalist), ACCA (Qualified), or LLB (Taxation)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Timings: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

is a well-established and fast-growing Chartered Accountancy firm providing services in audit, taxation, corporate compliance, and financial advisory. We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – Taxation to strengthen our taxation department in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax returns

• Manage tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with FBR and PRA

• Draft and review replies to notices, show-cause letters, and appeals

• Handle tax registration, de-registration, and compliance-related matters

• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory to clients

• Conduct internal compliance reviews and assist with audit findings

• Keep updated records of client tax data and maintain confidentiality

• Stay informed on changes in tax laws and their practical impact

• Assist senior team in client meetings, presentations, and consultations

• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for smooth workflows

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of relevant taxation experience in a reputable CA or law firm

• Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and Sales Tax Act, 1990

• Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word; familiarity with tax software is a plus

Qualifications:

• ICMA, CA (Qualified or Finalist), ACCA (Qualified), or LLB with a taxation focus
