Assistant Manager – Taxation

Qualifications & Experience

  • Part-qualified ACCA, CA (Inter), or ICMA
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in corporate taxation or a tax advisory environment

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of Pakistan tax laws, including the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act 2011
  • Practical experience with FBR IRIS and SRB portals
  • Experience in preparing and filing withholding tax statements (quarterly and annual)
  • Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual withholding tax statements in a timely manner
  • Develop weekly workings for withholding income tax payments
  • Reconcile advance income tax deducted by customers and ensure accurate posting
  • Liaise with customers and vendors to resolve taxation-related matters
  • Support senior team members in preparing documentation for tax audits and notices
  • File income tax and sales tax returns in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Respond to tax notices and queries from FBR and other relevant authorities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records
  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect required tax data
  • Assist in annual tax planning and stay informed about regulatory updates
