Assistant Production Manager – Infrastructure (Events & Exhibitions)

Role Overview

The Assistant Production Manager – Infrastructure will support the planning and execution of infrastructure requirements for events and exhibitions. This includes assisting with staging, trussing, rigging, scaffolding, flooring, seating, and temporary structures. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with vendors, crew, and internal teams under the guidance of the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing infrastructure plans, BOQs, and project schedules.
  • Support site surveys and venue inspections with the Production Manager.
  • Coordinate logistics for material delivery, storage, and site deployment.
  • Monitor daily progress during build-up and dismantling phases.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and crew for smooth execution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and assist with compliance checks.
  • Maintain documentation including drawings, permits, and project reports.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Event Production, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in event/exhibition infrastructure setups.
  • Knowledge of staging, rigging, scaffolding, and power basics.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD/SketchUp (preferred).
  • Safety awareness (HSE/OSHA certification advantageous).
