Position Overview:
QinetiQ US seeks an experienced Deputy Project Manager to support a federal law enforcement agency client. This role requires excellent judgment and communication skills to support project coordination, stakeholder management, and operational excellence within the agency program. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment, delivering innovative data quality solutions to meet federal law enforcement mission goals.
Responsibilities:

Assist with all aspects of agency programs and projects to ensure compliance with technical requirements, schedule, and budget
-
Support coordination of data quality initiatives across agency field offices
-
Assist in leading interdisciplinary teams supporting operations and serve as interface with federal customers, subcontractors, and third parties
-
Help develop, improve, and maintain the agency task tracker to ensure complete accountability of all tasks and current statuses
-
Assist in the professional and technical development of fellow staff
-
Assist in controlling expenditures, report monthly actual performance, and create forecasts using Estimate to Complete (ETC) processes
-
Support Senior Project Manager with administrative documentation for subcontractor execution, procurement, and finance activities
-
Create and track purchase requisitions (PRs) for materials, software licenses, and subcontractors supporting DQI operations
-
Assist in coordination and logistics of Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) for DQI mission activities
-
Coordinate and facilitate monthly teleconferences with agency field offices and their assigned data quality POCs
-
Organize, schedule, and provide meeting notes/minutes for all calls and meetings, including action plans and follow-up

Monitor, track, and coordinate responses to agency group mailbox incoming inquiries
-
Serve as designated contractor POC/liaison facilitating outreach and inquiries among agency staff for error analysis
-
Assist in generation and delivery of weekly status reports, contractor deliverables reporting (CDRLs), and program management review presentations (PMRs)
-
Support production of finished documents including reports, broadcasts, taskings, white papers, audit forms, best practices, and accomplishment reporting
-
Help create and maintain repository and templates for all agency-related products with proper branding and formatting
-
Document clear instructions in Confluence for all agency processes and procedures
-
Support development and coordination of training materials and visualization for DHS systems of record
-
Assist in training federal staff in agency processes and procedures
-
Help organize training sessions for end-users on agency systems and create supporting documentation
-
Support development of training materials to address identified data quality training gaps
-
Assist in performing audits of agency Dashboards to ensure accuracy, format, completeness, and usability standards
-
Support validation processes for titles, footnotes, data sources, and underlying data in agency systems
-
Help leverage audit results to inform future agency priorities and areas of focus
-
Assist in coordinating technical meetings between customers and subcontractors, recording actions and providing status updates
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in business, technical, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
-
10+ years of related experience with federal customers in a program, operations, or technical support role
-
Organizational skills, detail-oriented workstyle, and ability to communicate complex technical topics to federal customers, senior leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
-
Strong customer management skills - ability to support management of complex technical programs that are milestone performance and financially driven
-
Project coordination capabilities - able to work with customers to translate requirements into actionable scope and project plans
-
Basic estimating skills - capable of working with subject matter experts to develop duration and cost estimates
-
Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams/SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience with Confluence or similar documentation platforms

Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint or similar MRP/ERP software systems
-
Strong data visualization and reporting skills
-
Experience with project tracking and task management systems

Ability to readily adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision

Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive law enforcement information

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for federal stakeholder interaction

Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate federal security clearance

Background investigation required

Must be U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting federal homeland security initiatives and law enforcement clients, preferably DHS
-
Experience with data quality management programs or similar technical operations
-
Background in immigration enforcement or law enforcement data systems

Experience coordinating training programs for federal personnel
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
-
Demonstrated experience successfully deploying project management best practices
-
Experience developing and leading collaborative team environments in federal settings
-
Experience with comprehensive risk management systems and best practices
-
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams supporting federal government clients
-
Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and managing multiple concurrent projects

Experience with federal acquisition regulatory processes

Strong presentation and briefing skills for executive-level audiences
-
Collaborative work environment with agency team and federal stakeholders

Regular interaction with agency field offices, federal staff, and law enforcement personnel

May require coordination of emergency taskings and after-hours support

Occasional travel to federal facilities and field locations
