As an Assistant QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, implementing, and ensuring strict adherence to all Company SOPs and local regulations related to Sanitation, Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental compliance. You will oversee the execution of HACCP and QHSE programs across the Club and its clients’ operations, ensuring consistent quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Awareness
- Develop and conduct training programs on Food Safety, Hygiene, and Workplace Safety, including presentations, safety meetings, mock fire drills, and emergency preparedness plans.
- Promote a culture of QHSE awareness and ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Maintain readiness and preparedness to foster continuous improvement in QHSE practices and procedures.
Quality & Compliance Management
- Ensure timely renewal and revalidation of ISO and Quality certifications by meeting ISO standards and supporting audits.
- Review, update, and maintain internal QHSE policies and procedures; perform hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on QHSE compliance and liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
- Implement HACCP systems across Club operations, staff accommodations, and client projects.
Auditing & Inspections
- Conduct scheduled and surprise audits and inspections in kitchens, F&B outlets, outdoor catering areas, recreational areas, and staff cafeterias.
- Identify non-compliance issues and report findings to the Director of Operations.
- Ensure staff accommodations and facilities meet high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
Health & Safety Management
- Ensure emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signage, and personal protective equipment are available and operational.
- Provide guidance on safety management and support corrective actions to prevent violations.
- Implement HSE activities in line with company standards, local regulations, and international best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for all QHSE, HACCP, and compliance-related activities.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to policies, SOPs, and programs to strengthen QHSE practices.
- Monitor emerging QHSE trends, maintain data records, and perform trend analysis for management review.
- Contribute QHSE/HACCP expertise in sales presentations, tender evaluations, and project planning.
- Attend industry conferences and professional development programs to stay updated on best practices.
Incident & Risk Management
- Lead investigations into Food Safety incidents, Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessments, and Environmental Monitoring reports.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure lessons learned are communicated across the organization.
Client & Supplier Relations
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Review and verify supplier adherence to HSE standards and requirements.
Operational Support
- Support management in mobilizing new projects and operations, including pre-mobilization QHSE/HACCP audits.
- Ensure compliance during internal and external audits related to ISO and Supreme Committee standards.
- Provide inputs for the annual QHSE budget and monitor implementation.
- Maintain all documentation and records related to Food Safety, HSE, and QHSE programs.
Standards Implementation
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety (ISO 22000:2018), Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015), and HSE standards (ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 / OHSAS 18001).
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Food Safety, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QHSE role within the hospitality industry.
- Certifications: HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 22000:2018, Internal Auditing.
- Proven experience in audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
