Assistant Sales Manager

A Hotel Sales Manager's job is to drive revenue by developing and executing sales strategies, building client relationships, and managing the hotel's sales department to achieve financial goals and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, negotiating contracts, collaborating with marketing, leading a sales team, and monitoring market trends and competitor activities. The role requires strong analytical, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development:Create and implement sales and marketing plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, including corporate accounts and event planners.
  • Market Research & Analysis:Conduct market research to identify opportunities, analyze competitor rates, and understand market trends to inform strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation:Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure profitable partnerships.
  • Sales Team Leadership:Lead, motivate, and provide guidance and feedback to the sales team to achieve performance targets.
  • Marketing Collaboration:Work with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns and materials.
  • Reporting & Forecasting:Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Client Communication:Respond to client inquiries, process payments, and resolve any issues or complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record in sales and a strong understanding of the hospitality market.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate favorable terms for the hotel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Analytical Abilities: Capacity to analyze data, monitor market trends, and use insights to adjust strategies.
  • Customer Service: A commitment to excellent guest satisfaction and client support.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
