Business Development Executive – Logistics & Freight ForwardingKey Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with prospective clients to promote freight forwarding and logistics services (air, sea, and land).
- Understand client logistics needs and recommend tailored transport and supply chain solutions.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, documentation, customer service) to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution.
- Prepare service proposals, handle client inquiries, and assist in rate negotiations and contract discussions.
- Track and maintain records of client interactions, opportunities, and service requests using internal systems or CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for business expansion.
- Achieve assigned performance targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Tamil and Hindi is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of freight forwarding, logistics processes, and documentation.
- Ability to engage professionally with clients and present service offerings effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with CRM or logistics systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries preferred.
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
