Principal Accountabilities Safety
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate leadership with all company and industry safe work processes to prevent injuries.
- Adherence to company HSSE policy and procedures. Ensure all Environmental Regulatory requirements are met. Ensure Air Products and APQ standards, and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met.
Technical
- Provide direction and guidance based on technical feedback from Engineering and Maintenance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and test activities.
- Provide Operations and Maintenance support. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide Operations and Maintenance guidance to ensure safety, reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
- Provide Operations and Maintenance input for scheduled outages to ensure contractual requirements are achieved.
- Manage plant production efficiently based on data-driven decisions to ensure safety and reliability targets are met to achieve maximum profitability.
- Work closely with business areas to identify productivity expansion projects.
Operations and Maintenance
- Ensure the safety of all operations and maintenance personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position facilitates planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ. Meet the customer's satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility on product supply.
- Responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the established operating procedures and written or oral instructions from Superintendent.
- Ensure that maintenance notifications in SAP are carried out correctly. Verify SAP notification on field and approved with basic data i.e. functional location, malfunction description, damage code, priority, and hazard information.
- Participate in pre-work visits with Maintenance and Contractors to identify risk activities.
- Ensure each work permit related documents are prepared and handed over to the team.
- Participate in preparing maintenance or process shutdowns and turnarounds i.e. scope of works, prioritization of notifications (define consequences of malfunctions in terms of sector availability).
- Participate in area daily meetings and share the maintenance plan with the team to ensure all equipment is prepared for scheduled maintenance works (corrective and preventive).
- Participate in maintenance plan daily meetings with the Maintenance Leader and Planners to analyze daily notifications, and contribute to updating the weekly maintenance schedule.
- Ensure equipment readiness for maintenance activity and after completion back to operations.
- Manage and organize regular equipment testing and routine preventive maintenance.
- Participate in prioritizing maintenance activities to guarantee reliability and operational continuity of equipment and agree on repair dates.
- Release and ensure all work permit precautions and required conditions are fulfilled; maximize safe work permit practices through clear communication and frequent site visits, and ensure zero permit deviation.
- Manage interface with all support departments for maintenance activities.
- Participate in risk assessments and unusual operational or maintenance activities as needed.
- Contribute to achieving routine maintenance KPIs and objectives specific to reliability, planning and scheduling.
- Ensure availability and updating of required procedures and schedules for special operations.
- Ensure minimum forced tags and bypasses during operation by proper maintenance planning. Follow SIF procedures for forced tags and bypasses.
- Build plant technical capability through support coordination from Air Products' Regional and Global teams.
- Provide coaching and motivation to the operations team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Develop, train, and promote top performing operation personnel who achieve success through teamwork, customer and employee focus, open communication, performance driven and results oriented.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor and evaluate plant systems and equipment.
- Provide operations and maintenance support and participate in / lead incident investigations and root cause analysis. Identify and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Act as the single point of contact when dealing with internal issues of the facility, representing APQ and coordinating internal resources.
- Facilitate attainment of operations excellence and customer satisfaction via operations productivity, reliability, quality, cost reduction, services, continuous improvements, and meeting budgets.
