Assistant Sourcing Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Lead & manage the sourcing operations to ensure successful execution of product programs to meet brands’ requirements. Help in developing & implementation of sourcing strategies that meet or exceed company objectives and achieve cost effectiveness, driving growth and timely delivery of products. Fostering strong & effective relationship with all vendors to achieve the desired outcomes in all key performance indicators.
Costing & Special Projects
  • Ensure costing is submitted under the guidelines of PD & Management with specific focus on ongoing priorities.
  • Deadlines are essential to be met.
  • Manage well on cost saving and all KPIs.
  • Understand supplier capabilities and strategize & present solutions to PD & Management that reduce LT, provide savings & create value propositions in terms of products & processes.
  • Ensure an amicable relationship of trust & respect is maintained with the supplier.
Bulk Production:
  • Monitor vendors performance closely with updated supplier profiles in place and periodical assessment of suppliers done properly.
  • Ensure Bulk placement falls on aligned LT & within capacities.
  • Ensure Supply chain issues are caught beforehand & resolved.
  • Responsible for bulk execution by liaising with mills/Suppliers/Support departments/trims suppliers/Prod development.
  • Responsible for on-ground monitoring of operations to verify & report production statuses, proactively seeking bottlenecks before they endanger deliverables.
  • Actively liaise with FE & PI teams on bulk issues & take up with PD etc. to resolve.
  • Ensure on time delivery, which involves working with vendors and mills to track development, pre-production, and bulk production of fabric and garments
  • Responsible for aiding Managers in creating Specific reports for taking up issues.
  • Responsible for management and training of Suppliers in LS&Co. systems.
Production Planning:
  • Update vendor capacities per week and month for assigned brands and segments in LS&Co. systems. Furthermore, responsibilities for production planning include comparing established capacities with plan placement at vendor to ensure accurate delivery dates of garments
  • Update lead-times for garment and fabric in LS&Co lead-time templates. Once received production dates from vendor, compare submitted lead-times for each product (PC-9)
  • Minimize MOQ upcharges and liabilities by effective planning, negotiation, and cross sourcing through vendor coordination
Product Development:
  • Responsibilities include aiding senior management in liaison with fabric and quality teams to ensure fabric and garment quality, within LS&CO specifications of both aesthetic and physical standards.
  • Responsible for tracking development of prototypes, commercial samples, and ad samples at the start of every season in preparation for bulk production
  • Initiate PERR meeting between vendor, Finishing team, Quality team, and relevant SSM to highlight new developments at the beginning of a season
  • Initiating and tracking pre-production approvals i.e. Approval Samples for Size Sets, Finishes, Shade Bands, and First Off Production for products which are new to a season, or which have a change in measurement specifications and finish recipes
  • Provide relevant resources (manufacturing, construction, design documents) in a timely manner to ensure on-time submissions of each approval in the approval process
Control:
  • Aid Quality and Finishing teams to ensure any bulk issues in production are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Implement and standardize LS&Co. SOPs, protocols, and processes.
  • Aid in implementing new processes/systems across vendors.
  • Coordinate with vendors, IT, and third-party logistic teams to ensure accurate and transparent data representation in Levi’s systems
  • Achieve strong customer services through quick responses, efficient problem solving and creative solutions along with market intelligence.
Other Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching and motivation to team members and carry out a proper resources management to develop an effective and flexible team.
  • Help in developing short- and long-term sourcing strategies for RTM to support the brand strategy and the business needs.
  • Aiding sustainability team in maintaining global Sustainability goals, including Worker Well Being and Fair Labor Practices as well as Product related certifications (all international partner organizations) and Process Optimization controls
  • Facilitate in recruitment, on-boarding, and training of new team members.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Education:
Bachelors/Master's degree in Business/Economics/Finance/ Textile.
Experience:
7-8 years professional experience with a Denim Supplier or Liaison Office in Pakistan.
Must demonstrate maturity and resilience, with strong professional ethics, integrity, and a sense of responsibility
