Assistant Stage Manager - Entertainment

Description

The Assistant Stage Manager supports the Stage Management and Production Teams in coordinating rehearsals, show operations, and backstage logistics for the 2026 New Year’s Eve celebrations in Dubai. The ASM helps ensure that rehearsals and performances run smoothly by maintaining schedules, tracking cues, supporting performers, and communicating across departments. This role reports to the Production Stage Manager and works closely with all technical and creative teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the Stage Management team during rehearsals, technical runs, and live shows.
• Assistant in the organization of backstage operations and performer movements.
• Maintain show documentation as requested, including rehearsal notes and cue sheets.
• Coordinate with technical departments to ensure readiness and proper preset of props, costumes, equipment, etc.
• Communicate daily updates as required to ensure clear and consistent information flow.
• Help maintain a safe and organized backstage environment.

Requirements

• Experience in live performance, large-scale events, or theatre productions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
• Proficiency in office and collaboration software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Dropbox).
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are an asset.
• Comfortable working long or irregular hours during production and performance periods. Overnight rehearsals will be required on some dates.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: AED2,200.00 - AED2,400.00 per week
