Position Overview:
The Event Stylist Coordinator is responsible for the creative direction, visual styling, and overall management of events. This includes conceptualizing themes, sourcing decor, and coordinating with all relevant suppliers and vendors to bring the vision to life. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every event is executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design unique event themes, mood boards, and layouts based on client briefs.
- Source and coordinate all styling elements, including flowers, furniture, props, linens, lighting, signage, and more.
- Communicate and collaborate with suppliers such as florists, rental companies, lighting technicians, signage vendors, and others.
- Conduct site visits and create styling plans/layouts for each venue.
- Ensure all décor elements are delivered and set up according to plan and on time.
- Manage the set-up and styling on event day, ensuring every detail aligns with the concept.
- Collaborate with event planners, coordinators, and production teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of trusted suppliers and negotiate quotes and availability as needed.
- Monitor styling budgets and provide cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Stay up to date with current trends in event design, decor, and styling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Event Stylist, Event Designer, or similar creative role.
- Strong portfolio of styled events or mood boards (please include with application if possible).
- Excellent taste, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Strong vendor/supplier management skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional time-management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of styling software or tools (e.g., Canva, Pinterest, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is a plus.
- A driver’s license and access to transportation is preferred.
Work Schedule:
- Variable hours depending on event schedule – weekend and evening availability is required.
- Flexibility for site visits and day-of-event presence is a must.
