Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Record to Report – Agentic AI
In this role, you'll be part of Genpact's transformation under GenpactNext, as we lead the shift to Agentic AI Solutions—domain-specific, autonomous systems that redefine how we deliver value to clients. You'll help drive the adoption of innovations across Agentic AI products like Genpact Record to Report Suite in finance and accounting, with more Agentic AI products set to expand across service lines.
This position offers a high level of visibility with Senior Client Finance Stakeholders and requires good communication skills and the ability to adapt to different client situations/scenarios and provide quick solutions. Requires a passionate individual who can gain a big picture view of a company’s finance and accounting operations, and make contributions in the areas of Accounting and Reporting by providing standard process improvements in these areas. Solid understanding of accounting concepts, processes and key controls, policies, reporting and budgeting principles. Knowledge of ERP systems is required such as SAP/Oracle/Cloud ERPs. Preferably someone with a knowledge of using new age technologies like AI, machine learning, GenAI, Agentic drive transformation projects using design thinking methods.
Record To Report is an important practice within the Finance and Accounting (F&A) practice at Genpact. It gives to a significant part of Genpact’s growth and is a priority for the Company. We need strong subject matter specialists to take our R2R capabilities to the next level with use of Agentic AI and NextGen technologies. The SME will help build a strong R2R function that provides current and prospective clients with leading industry standard methodologies in R2R, solutions to improve their Accounting and Reporting functions, crafting collateral/IP to continue as a leader among service providers, and actively drive winning new deals.
Responsibilities

• Actively drive Agentic AI solutions, development and implementation including solutioning, client interaction and presentations, thought leaderships POV creation
• Lead complex finance & accounting blueprints with many countries/ regions in scope with focus on use of Agentic AI along with other solutions
• Lead RFX submissions for new Customers;
• Lead business meetings with potential new clients for Genpact as part of Sales cycle. Pitch on proposed solutions to client executives, highlighting Genpact capabilities and benefits of Agentic AI and operating model, convince leadership in selecting Genpact as primary service provider;
• As an architect of finance & accounting solutions, once Genpact has been down selected, lead work through due diligence to implement the plan and support transition;
• Subject Matter Specialist will own the designing of effective end to end Record to Report framework to improve metrics and cost efficiency of R2R processes
• Refine Record to Report (R2R) process insights as part of Knowledge Management framework: industry specific nuances, best practices, case studies creation and release, benchmarking;
• Actively engage with CXOs, CFO, Global controller to identify customer problems, perform diagnostics and commercialize the product offering
• Focus on managing the project engagement specifically balancing organization profit and long term client opportunity;
• Co-ordinate with Genpact teams on various project management related activities;
• Review solutioning projects delivered by Practice/Re-engineering/ Operations SMEs;
• Develop Genpact product offering in line with the industry changes – Optimum solution offering & digital offerings to support the solution design;
• Work closely with Global counterparts from all Genpact regions, to attain standardization & improvement in the product offering;
• Leads Digital SEP projects implementation;
• Keep current on IFRS, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and other industry specific policies and regulations.
• Perform regular evaluations of team members’ performance, identify training requirements.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with experience in Record to Report domain.
• Experience of working in Finance & Accounting operations including Global Capability Centres
• Recent exposure or experience applying digital solutions to streamline accounting processes and related reporting.
• Experience in at least 2 Industries (e.g. Consumer Product Goods / Manufacturing / Pharmaceuticals / Automotive / Banking / Insurance) + Consulting exp. a plus
