Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney with a solid background in zoning, land use, and development. The successful candidate will handle a wide variety of real estate matters, including property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing, while also advising clients on zoning and land use compliance, permitting, and development approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and represent clients in real estate transactions and development projects
  • Research and interpret zoning codes, land use ordinances, and local regulations
  • Prepare and present applications for zoning changes, variances, and special permits before municipal boards and agencies
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and related real estate documents
  • Conduct due diligence on title, land use, and environmental issues
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and firm partners on complex real estate and development matters

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in New York (admission in Connecticut is a plus)
  • Minimum of 3–7 years of experience in real estate law with a focus on zoning and land use
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and work effectively with clients and government entities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
