Private Investment Funds Associate – Class of 2020–2025

Location: New York or Philadelphia (Hybrid)

Compensation: Cravath Scale + Annual Bonus

A leading AM50 international law firm is seeking highly qualified Associates (Class of 2020–2025) to join its expanding Private Investment Funds practice in New York or Philadelphia . The Practice

The firm’s Private Investment Funds group comprises over 200 lawyers globally, representing clients that range from first-time fund sponsors to multi-billion-dollar asset managers. The practice works seamlessly with market-leading teams in tax, regulatory, funds finance, and M&A , offering associates unparalleled exposure to sophisticated cross-border transactions.

Recent Matters Include:

• Multi-billion-dollar private equity and infrastructure fundraisings
• $1B+ continuation and secondary fund transactions
• Complex venture and credit fund structures involving leading institutional investors

Key Requirements:

• J.D. from a top law school (Class of 2020–2025)
• Admission to practice in New York or Pennsylvania (or ability to waive in)
• Experience managing substantial components of fund formation transactions
• Strong understanding of private placements under the Securities Act of 1933 , unregistered funds under the Investment Company Act of 1940 , and exposure to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
• Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 firm and strong academic credentials
