Associate Attorney

Job Title: Associate Attorney (1–3 Years Experience) – Litigation focus; with additional responsibilities in land use; real estate; estate administration; matrimonial; contracts; and corporate law.
Location: Wyckoff, N.J.
Firm: Well-established Bergen County law firm with three Partners, two Of-Counsel (including retired New Jersey Superior Court Judge), and paralegals.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of legal experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in litigation, with additional background or interest in land use, real estate, estate administration, matrimonial, contracts, and corporate law considered a significant plus.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a caseload of litigation matters, including managing client communications, discovery, drafting pleadings, legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Assist with land use applications, real estate closings, estate administration, matrimonial matters, contract drafting, and corporate matters as needed
• Work closely with senior attorneys on complex cases and projects

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey. New York admission considered a plus.
• 1–3 years of legal experience (includes any clerkship)
• Excellent legal writing and oral communications skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Client-focused with a professional and personable demeanor
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
