Job Description

As Checkout.com grows, we are seeking a driven Associate, Revenue and Billing Reconciliations to join the Revenue and Billing Team within the Finance organization. This new role will support trading activity reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strengthening of our Accounting operations, improving the quality of balance sheet reporting, and standardising and automating reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced individual with strong interpersonal, management and organisational skills, and one who is able to demonstrate the ability to manage a team towards defined SLAS in a control environment.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Perform Business as Usual (BAU) reconciliation processes and controls across Billing, Revenue, and Cost of Sales balance sheets.

• Be the SME for reconciliations under your control, you will apply your accounting knowledge to ensure balances are properly accounted for in line with IFRS requirements.

• Set-up documentation and processes that are robust and well controlled for period end close and audit purposes.

• Implement and own the control framework to ensure accuracy of financial records and statements from trading activity.

• Analyse and reconcile data from various systems to identify control gaps and reconciliation breaks.

• Continuously improve data integrity, automation, controls, and operational and reporting efficiency.

• Participate in project work and product development initiatives.

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

• Create corrective accounting journal entries and postings to ensure accuracy of the ledger.

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of financial accounting, complex balance sheet reconciliations and controls experience ideally within a listed environment or large complex company.

• Finalist /Qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent

• Extremely strong working knowledge of MS Excel ,data analytics skills and experience handling large volumes of data

• Systems knowledge, particularly Workday would be highly desirable

• Knowledge of the payments industry and/or Fintech would be beneficial

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets and complex financial reports.

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

• Fast learner, able to work independently and with minimal supervision
