Summary
Phaedra Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Associate Business Developer to become part of our growing team. This opportunity is perfect for professionals with up to one year of business development experience who are eager to make an impact. In this role, you will contribute to client acquisition, relationship building, identifying fresh business opportunities, and supporting revenue growth initiatives. You will also assist with proposal creation, manage the sales pipeline, and work closely with various teams to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research and pinpoint potential clients through online research, industry platforms, networking, and social channels.
- Generate quality leads via marketplaces (e.g., Upwork, Fiverr) and outreach methods such as LinkedIn, emails, cold calls, and events.
- Maintain and grow the database of prospective clients.
Client Outreach & Communication
- Initiate professional outreach and maintain consistent communication with prospects.
- Build long-term client relationships founded on trust and credibility.
- Draft proposals, follow-up communications, and prepare engaging sales presentations.
Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
- Update and monitor client interactions and opportunities within the CRM system.
- Track and report sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts to management.
- Ensure all client communications and opportunities are documented accurately.
Meetings & Presentations
- Organize and participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Prepare agendas, presentation materials, and post-meeting follow-ups.
- Assist senior staff with client discussions and negotiations.
Business Research & Market Insights
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to uncover new trends.
- Provide insights into potential markets, partnerships, and emerging opportunities.
- Analyze industry data to guide sales strategies.
Proposal & Documentation Support
- Contribute to drafting proposals, RFQs, and RFP responses.
- Coordinate with technical and marketing teams to develop tailored pitches.
- Maintain standardized proposal and documentation templates.
AI Tools & Automation
- Leverage AI-powered tools to improve outreach, personalize engagement, and optimize workflows.
- Use reporting and productivity tools to track performance and enhance client interactions.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Partner with the marketing team to align initiatives with sales goals.
- Work alongside product and technical teams to deliver precise client solutions.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the sales department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
- Certifications in sales, marketing, or business development are advantageous.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., GHL, ClickUp) is a plus.
- Knowledge of AI tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or outreach automation platforms.
- Solid understanding of the sales cycle and business development processes.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical thinking and market research skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship Management.
- Internship or academic project experience in sales or marketing will also be considered.
