Overview
Phaedra Solutions is looking for a motivated and results-driven Associate Business Developer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with up to one year of professional experience in business development or related fields. In this role, you’ll actively contribute to client outreach, identify new business opportunities, and help drive revenue growth. You will also support proposal creation, manage the sales pipeline, and collaborate with multiple teams to meet business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Research
- Identify and research prospective clients using online resources, networking, and social platforms.
- Generate leads through platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, LinkedIn, and other outreach methods (emails, calls, events).
- Maintain and grow a well-organized database of potential clients.
Client Engagement
- Initiate and manage professional communication with leads and clients.
- Foster strong, lasting relationships to build trust and credibility.
- Prepare client proposals, follow-ups, and sales presentations.
Sales Pipeline & Reporting
- Update and manage opportunities in the CRM system.
- Track and report on sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline performance.
- Ensure proper documentation for all client interactions.
Meetings & Presentations
- Organize and participate in meetings or virtual calls with prospects.
- Assist in creating presentations, meeting notes, and follow-ups.
- Support senior team members during negotiations or client discussions.
Market Analysis & Research
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.
- Provide insights into potential markets, strategic partnerships, or product ideas.
- Contribute data-driven recommendations to refine sales strategies.
Proposal & Documentation Assistance
- Draft and edit proposals, RFQs, or RFP responses as needed.
- Coordinate with technical and marketing teams to deliver tailored pitches.
- Keep proposal templates and sales materials updated and organized.
AI Tools & Automation
- Utilize AI-driven tools to streamline outreach, personalize communication, and improve efficiency.
- Use productivity tools for reporting, analysis, and client follow-ups.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing to align campaigns with sales goals.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure accurate client solutions.
- Provide operational and administrative support for the business development process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
- Certifications in business development, sales, or digital marketing are an advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English fluency is essential).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., ClickUp, GHL) is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-driven outreach tools or LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
- Understanding of the sales funnel and client engagement processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical mindset and strong research skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or client management.
- Relevant internship or academic project experience will also be considered.
