Associate Director - Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the vision, values, and direction of the business to achieve sustainability, growth, efficiency, and profit.
• Manage the development, design, and coordination of engineering project services for MEP installations, systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Ensure successful project delivery, adhering to B&W standards, quality, timelines, and resource management.
• Apply initiative and judgment to prioritize tasks and workload, maintaining professionalism and promoting the company culture.
• Provide leadership in technical expertise, team management, recruitment, and fostering a positive team culture aligned with the Black & White 'One (global) Team Culture'.

Role Requirements (Professional & Technical Expertise)

This Associate Director role is suited for an experienced, qualified engineering design professional with the technical knowledge, design experience, people management, and project delivery skills necessary to lead design teams on highly technical building projects.

The candidate should have a keen interest in new developments within MEP engineering design. Specific Data Centre experience is advantageous, along with:

• BSc / B.Tech / BEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Chartered Engineer status
• Technical expertise in electrical systems design for various applications
• Experience managing design processes for international projects
• Knowledge of design stage deliverables and BSRIA BG6/2018 standards
• Understanding of health and safety legislation
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in proprietary calculation software
• Knowledge of international codes and standards
• Strong time management and resource planning skills
• Willingness to travel and make additional efforts as needed
