Associate Project Director

The project:

A residential and mixed-use development, consisting of multiple mid-rise buildings.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leads end-to-end project delivery for external clients, from inception to post-completion.
  • Oversees project timelines and budgets, proactively managing risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensures stakeholder alignment and communicates strategies across client, consultant, and contractor teams.
  • Integrates design and authority programmes with procurement and delivery schedules.
  • Champions Mace’s “Safety First” culture, promoting wellbeing and sharing safety lessons.
  • Provides expert guidance to support broader Mace project success.
  • Manages client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships to ensure collaborative project execution.
  • Drives timely project delivery across all phases, aligned with milestones and sequencing plans.
  • Supports business functions such as reporting, bidding, development, resourcing, and commercial strategy.
  • Aligns project delivery with Mace’s strategic pillars: digital, sustainability, service excellence, and quality.
  • Engages and negotiates with senior stakeholders, leveraging internal knowledge hubs and best practices.
  • Leads teams and contributes to net zero carbon goals through proactive emissions management.

You’ll need to have:

  • MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE (or local equivalent).
  • Experience in the successful delivery of large mixed-use development projects.
  • Demonstrable evidence of deep project management expertise.
  • Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
  • Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (or equivalent local safety certification).
