The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will require specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for a technical process or project including developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.
How You’ll Make An Impact

Developing comprehensive project plans with the Project Controls department, covering scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.

Managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices

Monitoring and controlling project financials, including invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.

Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing risks, ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.

Ensuring all project activities comply with contractual agreements and Hitachi Energy policies.

Managing procurement of services, materials, and equipment, supporting Supply Chain Management in negotiations and claims management.

Serving as the key point of contact for the customer, resolving project issues and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy’s health, safety, and environmental policies.

Utilizing project management processes and tools effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering or similar.

Minimum 3 years of Project Management related experience in the implementation and engineering projects.

Experience within asset-intensive industries; specifically, utilities, transportation, and public infrastructure preferable.

Formal project management certification, e.g. PMI PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management scheduling tools.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
