Department of Administrative Services (DAS)- Labor & Legal Services Team
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking a Procurement Attorney to join our Labor and Legal Services Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply legal expertise in service of Iowa’s citizens by helping state agencies responsibly steward public resources through sound procurement and contracting practices.

Reporting to the DAS General Counsel Supervisor, the Procurement Attorney partners closely with the Central Procurement and Fleet Enterprise to provide advanced legal guidance on statewide purchasing, contracting, and compliance matters. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to agency leaders and procurement professionals, helping ensure that state contracting processes remain transparent, compliant, and aligned with Iowa law and public accountability standards.

354 Law Degree:
Possession of a law degree from an accredited institution.
Graduation from an accredited law school and the equivalent of five years of full-time successful and responsible experience in the practice of law;
Positions in this class require admission to the Iowa State Bar.
