Job Title: Attorney – Intellectual Property

Location: Remote (Must be able to collaborate on Eastern Time hours)

Language: English

Working Days: Monday through Friday

Working Hours: The working hours for this position are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST to align with our office hours.

About the Role

We’re a fast-growing, New Jersey-based consumer products company seeking a remote Attorney to support our General Counsel on a wide range of legal matters. This role will focus on intellectual property management, contract drafting and negotiation, and litigation support, including legal research and complaint drafting. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Counsel with legal strategy, risk management, and business alignment
  • Manage and protect U.S. and international trademark and patent portfolios
  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements including vendor, licensing, manufacturing, influencer, SaaS, and partnership contracts
  • Conduct legal research and case law analysis to support litigation and pre-litigation efforts
  • Draft legal complaints, cease-and-desist letters, and other pleadings
  • Advise internal teams on IP strategy, advertising law, marketing claims, and compliance issues
  • Collaborate with external counsel as needed and manage legal timelines and documentation
  • Assist with regulatory issues, including FTC, FDA, and e-commerce compliance

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited. law school
  • Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience [IP, contracts, litigation support]
  • Strong experience drafting contracts and legal complaints
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. IP law [trademark, copyright, patents]
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple matters, and communicate clearly with business teams
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting consumer products, e-commerce, or DTC companies
  • Familiarity with global IP and contract matters
  • Knowledge of advertising, labeling, and packaging regulations
  • Business-minded, highly responsive, and proactive
