Job Description The Audit & Assurance Manager is a pivotal role within the finance sector, focusing on providing high-quality audit services and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires an analytical mind, excellent leadership abilities, and deep understanding of accounting principles and audit techniques. The manager will lead audit engagements, supervise audit staff, and liaise with clients to ensure all audit tasks are performed efficiently and effectively. The role demands a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and contribute to the long-term planning and development of the audit function. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion within set timelines.
  • Develop and implement audit strategies that align with client objectives and industry standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop junior audit staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Identify and assess areas of significant business risk and design audit procedures accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, providing expert advice on audit-related matters.
  • Review and evaluate financial statements and audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Ensure all audit activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with changes in auditing standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve internal controls and auditing procedures.
  • Participate in recruiting, selecting, and appraising audit team members to build a strong audit team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent accreditation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in audit or accounting, with managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful audit teams is advantageous.
