AutoCAD Designer cum Production Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting (AutoCAD):

• Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and technical designs using AutoCAD.
• Modify and update existing designs as per client/production requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with manufacturing standards and quality specifications.
• Coordinate with the engineering and sales team to translate client requirements into workable designs.

Production Coordination:

• Plan and schedule production activities in alignment with project timelines.
• Coordinate with procurement, stores, and production teams to ensure material availability.
• Track work progress and provide daily/weekly updates to management.
• Monitor workflow to avoid delays, bottlenecks, and errors in production.
• Support in maintaining quality checks during production stages.

Documentation & Communication:

• Maintain and update drawing records, BOMs, and project files.
• Prepare production-related reports, schedules, and status updates.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for clarifications.
• Assist in preparing technical submittals and approvals.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production workflows.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English (written & verbal).
• Problem-solving attitude with keen attention to detail.

Qualification

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
• Certification in AutoCAD (preferred).
