AutoCAD Draftsman

Position Overview: An AutoCAD Draftsperson is responsible for preparing detailed architectural and structural drawings using AutoCAD, developed by Autodesk. The draftsperson works closely with architects and structural engineers to produce accurate technical drawings for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts)
• Prepare structural drawings (columns, beams, slabs, foundations, reinforcement details)
• Convert design concepts and sketches into CAD drawings
• Coordinate with architects and structural engineers
• Modify drawings based on design changes and site conditions
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE building codes and standards
• Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Maintain organized project documentation
• Assist in site measurements when required

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & basic 3D)
• Good knowledge of architectural and structural drafting
• Understanding of construction materials and methods
• Ability to read structural calculations and design drawings
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills
