AUTOMOTIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT AND BILLER

Job Summary

The Automotive Office Assistant and Biller accurately records the sale, profits, and commissions payable on all sold units, and maintains accurate accounting of vehicle inventories.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Bill all new and used car deals and post into account.
  • Receipt all monies received for new and used car deals.
  • Organize all paperwork in each deal; check for completeness.
  • Process pay-off checks for trade-ins and mail to appropriate financial institution in a timely manner.
  • Generate and maintain the salesperson’s commission reports and list of commissions on hold.
  • Process new car title work and route used car title work to the Tag & Title Clerk when the deal is funded.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a clerical office setting.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Occasional bending and standing

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a Non-Exempt, full-time hourly position.
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of dealership experience or similar environment.
  • 6+ months as dealership biller preferred.
  • ADP Experience preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of accounting.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
