AV Floor Manager

Mission: ON Site is the “in-house” division of ON Services, a national event production company built to power live event experiences whenever and wherever we’re needed. Status/Compensation: Hourly/Non-Exempt | $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Supervisor: Audio Visual Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the daily set-up, operation, and strike of audio visual equipment for live productions in a hospitality environment and provide real-time troubleshooting and technical support during events
  • Serve as the primary on-site operational lead during assigned shifts, directing technicians and freelancers to ensure efficient labor deployment and adherence to production timelines.
  • Act as the primary client contact on the event floor, providing professional communication and service recovery when necessary to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Review event orders, production notes, and room diagrams to ensure correct equipment staging, room readiness, and client expectations are met.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all setups to verify equipment functionality, signal flow, cable management, and presentation standards before client arrival.
  • Promote exemplary customer service to both our facility customer/partner, and our mutual end-user clients. Acts as primary liaison to clients on the event floor.
  • Coordinate closely with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Train, coach, and mentor technicians and freelance staff on operational procedures, technical standards, and client service expectations.
  • Maintain a professional image, as well as a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Shares with the ON Site team in evening, weekend, holiday, and split-shift calls, to accommodate customer needs.
  • Complete all required daily paperwork and reporting, as well as required ON Site training.
  • Any duties as assigned to support property Director, to assist in goals of growing revenue, cutting cost, improving customer service scores, or problem resolution.

Education/Experience/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience with in-house audio visual services
  • Background in music, recording, audio visual, computers or related technology fields preferred
  • Written, verbal, and comprehension skills in English required. Fluency in a second language is helpful
  • Organization skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Must have finger dexterity to operate office and audio visual equipment as needed
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office must be demonstrated
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Requires physical mobility, including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, crawling, grasping, writing, repetitive motions, bending, listening, with applicable hearing and vision ability
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors as needed
