Adecco Middle East is looking for Backup & Storage Administrator for our one of the prestigious client in Abu Dhabi.
Role Details
- Role Type: Contract
- Duration: 12 Months
- Location: Onsite in Abu Dhabi
- Experience: 8 to 12 Years
- 24 X 7 availability required
Responsibilities
- Setup, configure and manage Backup server/client and tape libraries.
- Monitor daily Backup activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues
- Modify and optimize backup schedules
- Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements
- Troubleshoot and resolve the failed backups
- Should be familiar on any restoration (File system, Database & Snapshot)
- Interface with vendors for escalation of issues
- Configure, monitor, and support daily backup software, such as Acronis and Azure Site Backups
- Independently performs fail over and failback testing of entire VM's in a Disaster Recovery environment as required
Required Skills (As many as possible)
- ITIL v4 foundation certification
- Certification from Backup and Storage vendors such as Dell-EMC, HP, Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam Networker. etc
- At least 8 to 10 years of Data Protection Platform relevant experience.
- Working experience in Public/Private/Hybrid Multi-Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle and VMware
- Understanding of cloud computing architecture, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS delivery models
- Excellent knowledge on SAN / NAS / FC Switches / Backup Appliances /Tape Libraries
- Knowledge of migration tools, snapshots and SAN protocols such as CIFS, NFS, Iscsi and fiber channel
