Adecco Middle East is looking for Backup & Storage Administrator for our one of the prestigious client in Abu Dhabi.

Role Details
  • Role Type: Contract
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Location: Onsite in Abu Dhabi
  • Experience: 8 to 12 Years
  • 24 X 7 availability required
Responsibilities
  • Setup, configure and manage Backup server/client and tape libraries.
  • Monitor daily Backup activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues
  • Modify and optimize backup schedules
  • Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the failed backups
  • Should be familiar on any restoration (File system, Database & Snapshot)
  • Interface with vendors for escalation of issues
  • Configure, monitor, and support daily backup software, such as Acronis and Azure Site Backups
  • Independently performs fail over and failback testing of entire VM's in a Disaster Recovery environment as required
Required Skills (As many as possible)
  • ITIL v4 foundation certification
  • Certification from Backup and Storage vendors such as Dell-EMC, HP, Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam Networker. etc
  • At least 8 to 10 years of Data Protection Platform relevant experience.
  • Working experience in Public/Private/Hybrid Multi-Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle and VMware
  • Understanding of cloud computing architecture, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS delivery models
  • Excellent knowledge on SAN / NAS / FC Switches / Backup Appliances /Tape Libraries
  • Knowledge of migration tools, snapshots and SAN protocols such as CIFS, NFS, Iscsi and fiber channel
