Job Title: Senior BakerJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Baker with a minimum of 5 years of professional baking experience. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of baking techniques, recipe development, and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality baked goods, leading baking staff, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of high-quality breads, pastries, desserts, and specialty items.
  • Develop, test, and refine recipes for seasonal or signature items.
  • Supervise and mentor junior bakers and kitchen staff to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Manage daily baking operations, including production planning, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure all baked goods meet company standards for taste, appearance, and freshness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor ingredient stocks and coordinate with suppliers for inventory management.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, and slicers.
  • Maintain detailed production records and assist in cost control and waste reduction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a commercial bakery, patisserie, or similar environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of baking techniques and equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage a bakery operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary certification or degree in Baking and Pastry Arts preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with artisan breads, laminated doughs, or specialty desserts.
  • Knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, or allergen-free baking techniques.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and bakery scheduling tools.
  • Creative and innovative approach to recipe development.
