Job Title: Barista
Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while providing excellent customer service. The role ensures consistency in drink preparation, maintains a clean and welcoming café environment, and enhances the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages to company standards.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service at all times.
- Educate customers on menu items, coffee beans, brewing methods, and recommend products.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency in taste and appearance.
- Handle cash, POS transactions, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café, counters, and seating areas.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards (HACCP compliance).
- Support the team during peak hours and contribute to smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing F&B role (1–2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods, latte art, and café operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for coffee culture.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
